26th Amendment
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.
Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
The 26th Amendment gave the right for 18 years old to vote. This amendment was made into law since 18 years old boys were getting drafted during the Vietnam War.
In my opinion, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 opened doors to blacks and other minorities group to express their opinions and vote for a change. Since this amendment was passed, boys were getting drafted are considered responsible young men that went oversea to aid the people of Vietnam.
I think it is important for everybody to vote because people has fought for voting rights in the longest of time throughout history. One vote can make a difference and if you don't like how the government is running, just go out and vote for a change.
